I tend to think of the 80's bike scale which is about up to 20k fine, 40k time for major service ie camchain, 50+ pushing it.
Although say the CX's (after they sorted they CCT) and XJ's have a rep for being long suffering buggers, mates dad took a GPZ500 round the clock from new....
PS I know that my scale isnt a real one or one that most will recognise. Its the UMG scale |

isnt there an old rumour around somewhere that states the Honda CG125 should do 100k with the same engine, if i remember correctly, so about 88k miles to go then .
I dont think id buy an expensive to fix sportsbike over 25k, but even the low miles ones could have problems from thrashing, so its a minefield either way . bloke that lives in my street has had the same bike for 15 years and it has done over 100k and still going strong , although he is really devoted to his bike, always looks clean! its one of these (https://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/moto_guzzi_daytona_1000_1994.php) ____________________ Honda CG125 BR-S 1995 + cg125 W |
