Yep, bought a bike on eBay went to the house gave a once over and was as described so handed over the cash. Not the best situation really as was worried that a lot of time and effort was put into getting there and hoped that it was for me.
If I were buying a bike that I had already owned and new whats what then I would probably do it again. As far buying a bike that I have no idea of what its like as in a different style then probably no. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

I bought my CAT-C Blade off ebay without EVEN seeing it. Negociated a price, asked for his sort-code and number (it was a honda dealer selling the bike on behalf of one of its mechanics so I KNEW where he was... except it was 160 miles away from where I lived at that time) and within a week, the bike was mine. Had it delivered and that was that. Was a few niggles such as that the second HISS key wasn't sent with the bike, but it came with a full HPI, service history (a load of recepits) and extras. I gambled on it since it was about £700 cheaper than dealer bikes of higher mileage and that they offered to throw delivery in.
The same story applies to my other ebay purchase (ZX6R).
Either way, you just have to instill your trust on the seller. Mine sounded like an honest reasonable guy judging on his intonation and well spoken mannerisms. I got a call back from a dealer about an inquiry i made on a same blade and let's just say he was a bit of a bell end! ____________________ The Tot 2007 Yamaha R1 4C8 2002 Yamaha FZS1000 Fazer &

I bought my last bike with never seeing this model in the flesh let alone never even test riding one. I decided i wanted a cruiser as i'd never had one in 30 years of biking, but i wanted one with shit loads of power. So i went to my dealer and put a £1,000 deposit on a Suzuki Intruder M1800R after only seeing pictures of one and reading road tests from the States.
It was quite a gamble as the bike was 9K, but i was very happy with it and kept it nearly 3 years. Only chopped it in a few months ago for my Bandit cos i got bored with only so so handling.

I bought my missus v reg divvy 600 from a dealer over the phone. I'd only seen pictures on autotrader.
I asked him if it had been dropped and he said he couldn't honestly say no, but there were no signs of it.
Did it smoke etc etc. Came across as honest so I bought it.
I told him I wanted it delivered on a certain day (her birthday). He did. He didn't charge for delivery and he only took £100 deposit until I saw it and than paid him the rest. What a star ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |
