"Orestes" by A Perfect Circle at the moment.

I think a person's favourite "inspirational" song changes depending on what's going on in their life. Mine changes a lot.

rsooty that is a very inspirational song, but not one of my favorites, my favorite song at the moment and always has been is Nickelback - Too Bad (not saying it is inspirational at all though).

I would recommend Images And Words (1992).

Dream theater rock dude! Learning to live is AWESOME. Thats so weird, I was listening to it as I was reading this post! What other DT songs you like? Got any of the liquid T stuff either? Definitely my favourite band of all time. One of a kind.

My favourite album is Images And Words, every song is masterful.

I admire all their work but here are a few:

Erotomania
Another Day
Metropolis
Pull Me under
The Glass Prison
Hells Kitchen

DT are by far my favourite band/musicians. I missed their latest tour, won't come back to the UK for a long time I don't think. massive guitar/drum solos and laser lights! Crying or Very sad

Simmilar bands are Yes and Rush, DT have played with them both.

DAMN IT! You have all the views I have. I also missed their tour and am kicking myself hard for missing them as they wont be back for a while! I just a few days ago learnt another day (on drums) and am learning a few more of the songs from images and words to cover with my band.

I agree all the songs are masterful. Portnoy is a God.

Honor thy portnoy

edit: I've just bought liquid drum theater, and a load of other dt and Mike Portnoy Dvd's, cant stop watching them. So much to learn.

Boiler - Limp Bizkit

It's pretty much the only song that ever compliments the build up of rage, release and adrenaline that comes with leading a stressful life.

It's my venting song Smile

Sorry it's late but like Yams has already said, it depends on what mood i'm in or what i'm doing. So some of the music preferences Yams actually said but, say if I was in the gym then there are a few prodigy songs that I never seem to get bored of!

Prodigy - Full throttle
Prodigy - The Narcotic Suite - Skylined
Prodigy - The Narcotic Suite - Claustrophobic Sting
Prodigy - Climbatize

I know you said only one song Goose but I find it near enough impossible to pick one single, song, and if I could pick one, it'd take me about a week literally to go through the 12,000+ songs that I have on mp3.

Mike

Check out Blue Oyster Cult "Don't Fear the Reaper" and also Procol Harlem "Whiter Shade of Pale" - both are absolute classics Thumbs Up

what?

the fact that The Ace of Spades was one of Motorhead's most successful ever songs

the fact that it wasn't recorded by Iron Maiden - although Aces High was

or the fact that either of these songs may be "inspirational"

personally I prefer "Overkill"

I was thinking Motorhead too but there was definitely an Iron Maiden one. Being an ex downhill mountainbiker it was a song that really psyched me up before a race

Yeah you got it. Aces high. Flipping google, came up with Ace of Spades (still a great song in my opinion)
