I have a ktm 250 exc, ive recently changed the fuel mixture and put a new plug in. I rode it to test it for bout 10 mins just in my street and it slowly just died out as if it ran out of fuel or something, i cannot find anything loose i've checked the hole bike, but my CDI unit has a few slight cracks in it and i'm pretty sure i got spark, the bikeis getting fuel etc and electrics are all connected...
Plz help wat can i do to test if cdi is broken or if ignition coil is broken???

Cheers mike

To check to see if your getting a spark, remove the plug and leave it in the cap, rest it on something metal like the crankcase and kick it up. if there is a spark your o.k and can look for other problems. just don't touch the plug or its cap when doing this as there is a large amount of electric that comes out.

i will not be held responsible for any damage which may occur to you or your equipment whilst doing this Very Happy Thumbs Up
