They seem to neglect the fact that possibly people are fed up of ebay?
I have not sold anything on there out of sheer protest for a good 6 months. I have sold stuff I would have sold on ebay by advertising the traditional way. I have got more money for stuff, with maybe a slight delay in getting stuff sold.
I hope they continue to lose money long into the future. If there is one company in the world that I view with complete and utter contempt, it would be eBay/PayPal. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. I wondered a while ago whether they were taking much these days.
I used to buy and sell loads on there, nowadays I buy the odd thing occasionally but eBay is usually far down the list of places to check - overpriced (due to fee squeezing by ebay) and, well, a bit crap these days.
Selling, haven't used it for ages. Used to list odd bits of crap at £5/£10 Buy It Now, not worth it now due to actually only seeing about 30%* of that - that's if your lucky and the buyer isn't a twat, not leaving pos feedback so you can't get your money!

Hi
Suspect you are not alone.
I do spend less on Ebay than I used to. Part of that is the difficulty of finding anything useful amoung the garbage for sale (search for bike bits and half the bits returned are magazines with articles on that bike).
Paypal was useful, but the cost seems to have gone up (or at least that is my perception). And while I might find it convenient the way it now seems to be pushed is a bit objectionable.
All the best

eBay/paypal suck balls.
If you use it, it's like going on holiday to a country with really shit rules pertaining to the sale and purchase of goods. When you think about it, if the same rules eBay use were enforced any where else, you wouldn't dream of using it to buy and sell.
A lesson in humility would do the company a world of good and might keep them in business if adopted.

I reckon you need a new keyboard from ebay. The s,c,u,m keys as well as the f,v,k must be pretty much blank by now.
I still buy from ebay, no good for selling though. But as said, there's no real alternative. |
The only worn keys I have are the E, R, A, S, O...hang on, there's more than I thought...T, U, I, N, H...that's it.. The V is pristine, the F is nearly mint, the M is pristine. K is pristine. Weird, eh? Must be an angles thang. ____________________ "There's the horizon! Ride hard, ride fast and cut down all who stand in your way!" |

Good.
I don't sell on there anymore, as said triple fees suck. Also don't buy very often. Too much hassle. Tempted to close my account, but it proves to be useful now and again. ____________________ My Flickr |
