Hi,

I recently noticed that my back brake had started squeaking on my nsr and put it down to the pads. Problem.... the bolt holding the pads in is seized into the caliper and with it being a crappy straight bladed screwdriver type it is now nickered and definetley won't budge. Any suggestions?

Cheers.

You could try clamping the caliper down (if it is off the bike) and using a cold chisel/punch and hammer to turn the bolt, might be tricky with it on the bike. Not sure if you could drill it out or not, could screw the thread up. I think their is one on ebay at the moment if you are feeling lazy Smile

Soaking it in wd40 a few times and leaving it for a while is also good prior to trying to remove it Thumbs Up

If he is changing the pads then it doesn't really matter, unless of course he isn't, just assuming here Shifty

Hi

Probably your best bet is an impact driver.

All the best
