Well i went to the shops for milk and bread, and on the way back i had a wee spill.

nothin serious at all, was only doing about 10-15 mph and the bike slid a good few metres, but yeah, no damage to the bike or me.

So...

was coming up to some traffic lights, and pulled the brake just a touch, and it locked up...

So i let go of the brake and the bike stayed up, travelling towards the queue at the lights, so i touched the brake again and BOOM

on the deck before i could say 'uh oh'

The bike pinned my leg to the ground and dragged me about 4 metres down the road... Plenty folk around to pick the bike up and help me up.

Guy came running out a shop, said he worked on bikes and said he'd give the bike a once over, i told him not to bother, it's a CG.

He did anyway and i was fine.

got offered a cup of tea by about 5 people but just wanted to stick the lid on and fuck off before the embarressment got any worse.

Oh well.

All in a day's work eh.

Don't know what was on the road, it's been raining today so the ground is wet and therer was that rainbow effect where the bike slid...

don't know if it's off my bike or was there beforehand but now my jeans are stinking of petrol...

Suppose that's another one to add to my list.

oh, and Thumbs Up to akito gear, not a mark, and the only place that hurts is my left thigh as i was wearing my jeans.

May the mocking commence.

Dunc

Yes, it's more hygienic to lick the inside of your visor than a bus window.

Thanks for the confidence boost guys Thumbs Up Laughing

To be fair, this is the only crash i've had that isn't down to me just being an arse.

I feel like i'm known for crashing...

im too big for the CG is my excuse...

EDIT: when the last CG got nicked, i had to get the bus for a week. it was horrible. It stank of Unclean people, and took bloody ages. Plus, the bus fare i spent in one week could get me 150 miles on the CG.

Thumbs Up

The gutting thing is that i never have the camera when something happens.

I'm uploading a video just now of all the close calls i've had, and anything else interesting Laughing I'll stick a link up when it's done.

What are the tyres like.?
Unless you hit oil it shouldn't be locking up at those speeds.

They are kind of like knobbly road tyres Confused

Gonna have a look and see if i can find a set of MT65's as the last CG had them, they were fantastic.

Knobbly tyres aren't very good on the road?
Could this be related to why you have ridiculous amounts of spills Smile

Not all fat people smell you know.

Also, knobbly tyres and wet tarmac don't mix very well. Agreed, MT65s are excellent general purpose small bike tyres.
