Right I was walking down the street and this bike came past. It had L plates on and i'm assuming it's a 125. It was red (not that that helps) and it had dual exhausts one either side. Exhausts were tiny and black. Sounded like a 4 stroke rather than a 2. It was a sports bike replica shape.

It's a long shot but any ideas.??

Sounds like a bit of a long shot ye.....

Not many 125s with twin pipes are there?

What sort of age? withi the last couple years, or more 90s?

I was thinking there can't be that many with dual exhausts. It looked quite new actually last few years. Should really have looked at reg but didn't think at time.

Chinese sports bike, Like the Kaisar XTR125... They're just a commuter 125 in a poorly made sports bike frame.

Well it wasn't a Kaisar XTR125. It's hard to explain the exhausts other than they looked about the size of a toilet roll tube. Went up the side of the seat and were small and black. It's most likely a crap chinese copy.

Not a clue then, Check next week to see if the exhausts are still black, If they're full of holes and flaking apart, It's definately chinese lol

AJS = Britsh.
hough they were known for rebadging chinese mass produced bikes for a while.
now getting some good reviews due to not just buying bikes out of boxes like others but actually getting involved at the r & d stage (supposedly).
good review of one of there bikes in one of this months bike mag..
cheers,
GAZ

I quite liked them until tony said he did.

The reason I asked is because I'm thinking of selling my bike and buying a brand new one. Hoping that I won't have to shell out money on it.

I personally wouldnt buy the AJS, its pretty slow IMHO.
After trying the Hyosung Comet i got one of those.
Full size, bigger than the AJS, bigger tank, pretty much top horsepower for a learner, nice v twin sound.

Would get another in a heartbeat

Only sprang to mind as I was looking at them when I was in the market for a new bike, never took one for a test ride though Smile

Went for a Hyosung RT125 instead
