yamaha dt 125lc 1989(tenere????) cdi

hi,

i have what i thought was just a dt125 lc 89, but ive read paperwork from previous owners saying its a "unusual machine" and some saying its a tenere 125, i cnt seem to find much if any info on this online! if any1 has any info about what exactly my bike is it would be much appreciated ....

anyway, my cdi has packed up. and i cannot seem to find a cdi from a mark 3 dt125lc(86-89 which i believe my bike is???) anywhere! ive found some from 1990,1984 etc....i was wondering if any1 can help me A:tell me if any other year/model etc has a cdi that will work on my bike and B:maybe point mein the right irection for where to find 1!

check the tenth digit on your frame number that one is the "Age" check digit,

You can google search for vin number age digits and compare yours to the many many vin checkers online.

so if mine matches any others the cdi should match? or is that to find info on my bike?

finding the age digit will help you i.d. your bike and make it easier to find parts.
