So after my Vardero 125 was stolen from my garage 2 months ago i have finally been out and got another bike. I fancied getting another varadero but a part of me wanted something different this time around. So after much looking about and thinking ( which hurt Mr. Green ) i picked this bike ........

And after a clean

So the new bike is a Hyosung Gtr 125 R on a 07 plate. The previous owner had fitted the blue flame exhust, and the dual disc conversion up front as well as briaded hoses front and rear.

The amount of peole that have stopped and asked why i was riding a 600 on "L" plates is quite funny really, but i suppose being a lankey streak of piss means i need a bike that is big.

Not done much mileage on it yet, but 1 thing though it has got more grunt than the varadero , i just need to get used to the whole sportsbike riding position now which is killing my wrists each time i ride it.

Oh yeah got it for quite a reasonable price as well Thumbs Up

im tempted by the 650 version as another bike. although a trx850 is winning at the moment...

Nothing beats the sound of a twin Very Happy

Nice bikes them hyosungs, shame the actual logo takes away from the bike! Oh and the headlight doesnt do much for me but who cares! Very Happy

The blue flame sounds quite nice actually, not try'd it with the baffle taken out (just a case of taking a circlip out) i pay'd 1550 for it which i think was not bad seeing the condition it's in. And i quite like the red on it as well, hopefully santa brings me some red gear to wear on it Mr. Green

When i got my ZX9R coming from a GSXF it hurt my wrists for a week or so.

The GSXR i replaced it with still hurts my left wrist if i have to do too much cross town stuff but you get used to it Thumbs Up

i thought it was the sv650 engine in the 650r version?

I reckon an R6 could easily outrun one tbh.

Hahahahahaha......

Complete bullshit.

And if it is true, who the hell is riding these R6's?

I have to agree.

If you were talking about an RSV1000 or 916/999 or SP1/2 then yes, it'll have the legs on an R6 powering out of a corner from low revs.

But an R6 has almost 50 horses (if not more) on a 650 Hyosung, and just as much peak torque. If the rider wants to power away from a corner faster than you, they can, and rapidly.
