Just fitted my new shock, linkages and bushes to the NSR (that I got for a total of £40 ) and everything is fine. However I can move the shock from left to right, their is a gap between the frame on each side of about 3mm or so.
Also as I rock the shock it moves where it joins the linkages, will this damage the bushing? It is pretty much the same width as the old shock, should I shove some washers in so it is in the middle and cannot move, or is this normal?
Other than that thier is no movement in the linkages etc |

sounds like you have the wrong bushes, and yes it would damage them, if it is the wrong bush you need to press the correct size one in with a flypress. l had thsi problem getting a CBR shock in a ZZR the oringal hole was too big in the bush so l pressed a smaller bore in.
Never Ever pack in washers when bushes are concerned, bloody dangerous ____________________ Past:NRG50,AF1125(x2),NSR125RR,ZZR250,CX500,VFR400,KR1S,ZZR600(x2),CB400N,YZF1000(x2),KH125,Z200,FX400R,CBR954RR(x2)GPZ500S,GT550,VFR750F(x2),RD350N,XR650R,CBR600F,CB250,KDX250,YZF750R,CRM250,400EXC,KLR650,TTR600RE,DR350S,R100GSPD,RGV250,VMAX1200,DL650 Present:G650XC,C12,KZ750,1190ADV |

Heh
It's just that on the old shock, the eye is the same width, so that will move from side to side as well |
