This 'ere is a 13,536 x 24,882 pixel map of the British Isles, down to B road level. It's made of 594 tiles which join together into one map and viewable in a web browser, though you will need a fair amount of RAM in your PC and some patience while it all loads into memory... then you can scroll from Land's End to the Shetland Isles if it takes your fancy
You'll need to download the 37.9 Mb zip file and extract it to somewhere on your hard drive, fire up index.htm and wait till all the images have loaded. Then scroll down and right a fair bit to find Scotland, 'cos you start off out in the Atlantic ocean.

Haven't downloaded it myself as I have GPS maps, but from what Korn said, it displays in your web browser, so there should be an index.html ... click that to open and it should display fine, Korn will verify though.. ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes |

I spent 3 hours trying to download the map last night(56k dial up) and it stopped on 34MB meaning it wouldnt work I was not very impressed!
Is that map the one thats going to be in the 'Map' section of this by the way? (I mean the greyed out part next to 'Chat')

I assume this is the same program you made for when you put together the large "racetrack" image a year and a half or so ago?
Where's BCF hosted anyway - seems to have a nice amount of bandwidth as the download speed is pretty good considering it's a "small" site compared to many. ____________________ Shaft drives rule. |

Cheers Korn, should turn out to be quite useful
Although I've got a 1GB of RAM on my machine and i've never seen the available physical memory counter drop that low before |
