How to use a front paddock stand?

Hi guys.

Trying to remove my front wheel to take it for a tyre change, and I cannot for the life of me get the bike on this front fucking paddock stand.

Any tips?

Everytime I try to lift, the forks just get about 4" high then 'slip' off the stand

Like this, you must have a rear stand on too. And yes. I know the abba stand is on backwards.

It's on the rear stand, and I have the same front stand as in that picture - Just keeps slipping off the bottom of my ZXR400 forks

I can get it to work if I turn the adapters around, but then I cannot get into remove the spindle

Yeah.

Got it sorted now.

Somebody in that other thread suggesting smacking the bracket with a rubber mallet when it starts slipping - Done the trick
