It's so impersonal when you're murdering people from so far away with a massive machine gun.

War is pretty. If 15 english people were slaughtered everyone would shit a brick but if some sand niggers get in the way there's barely a mention.

That is horrific

Although I didn't see the RPG anywhere once they came round the corner. And why were the camera men walking around with people with RPG's and AK's? I would assume for their protection.
The group of people didn't seem to notice the chopper come round the building either? I wonder what the fat guy was saying on the phone.

The people who came in the van were completely non hostile and the guy was clearly not searching for a weapon, just trying to live. I would guess the fat guy was calling his friends to say get me the fuck out of here its gonna kick off.

war is bad

the first casualty of war is truth

anyone who says only bad people die in war is mistaken

killing people is always a bad thing to do

when journalists die in war, it isnt a conspriacy to silence the media, it just the trigger happy shoot-first why-ask-questions policy

it does mean that we might get to hear about it, but the thing to remember, is it's not a one off, it's the rules of engagement, it's authorised

It looked like the clumsy kid who realised he had hurt someone at the party started to seem a bit guilty, when wounded kids were spotted, and some attempt was made to save them, but then...

I couldnt believe the bare faced cheek with this bit though.

"well it's their fault for bringing their kids to a battle"
"that's right"

Actually, it was the americans that brought the battle to them.

God Americans are stuipd

In COD MW (1+2) you don't open fire on random armed civilians in a country where they have a right to bear arms. They must open fire first or at least perform hostile actions.
You fail a mission if you waste 3 armed + balaclavad men on a balcony with your awesome machine gun.

thats an interest point, the right to bear arms

any other nationality could say one of them had a gun, i had to shoot

but an american should in theory say, ah a proud citizen upholding his right to bear arms (before we hose him down and anyone nearby)

ok tell us what you know about rules of engagement then.

Do you think they did anything against them ?

Looked all pretty authorised to me, which means it happens all the time, just this time it was a somebody, and his buddies made an effort to get the tape.

A bunch of uniformed criminal thugs, lying through their teeth in search of any excuse to get permission to shoot. "Armed with AK47s and RPGs". I saw one thing which might have been an RPG. No AKs, nothing else, nada. Clear as daylight. It was pre-meditated murder.

NO fuckoff ... Middle Finger

It's like when i go to work on a Monday morning with dirt on my face form my TA exertions ... people ask what i've been upto, but i'm sworn to secrecy and warn them in a friendly way not to pry further. Question Thumbs Up

I'm sure you could wash after playing soldiers at the weekend.

I doubt a soldier would show up on parade still wearing dirt, so I dont know why you have to carry it to work.

I hope you realise, that you might get called on to play soldiers for real, shoot people in their own country, and get blown up with IEDs when they object to your presence.

You might not feel so self-important then.

This.

You could hear the excitement in the guy's voice - just salivating at the prospect of wasting some randoms. I couldn't see any weapons either. That's probably because there were none.

Of course he could have a wash, but then he wouldn't be able to 'impress' his work colleagues with tales of his 'incredible bravery' or 'covert missions'.
I 'll bet he's desperate for them to notice it, and desperate for them to ask about it - just like he is desperate for us all to know he's a TA Terry. I believe this isn't the first thread in which he has posted about it.

Rolling Eyes

Anyway, trying to remain on-topic:

I know if it was me in that helicopter i wouldn't want to take the risk of making an incorrect judgement on 'is it a camera or is it a weapon' - frankly, i'd be wanting to shoot the living shit out of anyone and anything which even remotely presented a risk to me (real or imagined).
All that aside, i'm not dumb enough to sign myself up for something like that in the first place - my sense of self-preservation is just too great for being involved in that sort of caper.
