It depends on his mental and physical dexterity!...if he can stay controlled for a little while to get used to the bike first, then he should stay alive...
I know plenty of ppl who jumped on 600s after their tests (but they were DAS), but most of them have actually stacked their bikes soon after!
But that's not to say that everyone is the same. ____________________ TiN

I stacked my klr & my nsr after my test & several years of riding!
The important bit is *control*...don't think you're a god just because you're faster then 99% of the rest of the vehicles on the road.
That's the major thing about expensive 'first' bikes... the probability is you *will* stack it at some point (or maybe that's just me ) so it's often worth looking at something you won't mind being slung along the road |

Also I think the GSXRs are large bikes. My ex has been riding for 8 years, and just bought a gxsr600 and finds it big to handle - not while its riding..... but when hes trying to push it round etc etc...
Dunno, might be a big bloke and not an issue - but personally I wouldnt like to drop an expensive bike trying to push it out the garage!! ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!
