Hi, noticed that since I've had the CBR on the road the clutch will occassionally stick after sitting over night. When switched on in the morning the engine is fine, but as soon as I try to put the bike in gear it lurches forward and stalls. When I restart the bike it will lurch forward a little then its fine and doesn't give trouble all that day. To me it seems like my clutch plates are gummed up a little and may need replacing.
Any advice? All in I'd be looking at around £55 - £60 for steel and friction plates, plus a cover gasket.
Another small problem is that when at idle in neutral, there is a rustling type noise coming from the engine, this noise does go away when the clutch lever is pulled in, and comes back as soon as it is let out again. Is this a worn bearing? If so does anyone know what one I will need? I'm guessing one that looks like a washer with little needle rollers in the face, but don't know the part number for it :S ____________________ '84 TS50X, '91 TZR125, '89 CBR400RR, '91 VFR400R NC30, '98 R1

Still having the issue with the abnormal noise/vibration The sticky clutch seems to have disappeared for now, so not too worried by that now.
Does anyone know what could cause the noise and if it's actually just the noise it makes? A friends mk4 Fiesta has exactly the same noise and syptoms, neutral, clutch pedal/lever out and it makes a noise, put it in and it goes away :S I think it might be the release bearing or something, but not really sure ____________________ '84 TS50X, '91 TZR125, '89 CBR400RR, '91 VFR400R NC30, '98 R1
