Mission Impossible 2 - What about the bit where the bikes go onto the beach and suddenly they are fitted with off-road tyres, damn clever.

Better biking films

Ooooo, I dunna about that... turned it on once and they had some eight legged sea creature! Who would have dreamed up such a monster!!!!

I don't mind a few pyrotechincs, it's when they go overboard that annoys me.
For instance face off, cessna (or some plane) hits hanger doors coming out of hanger, the ends of the hanger doors explode with wizzy fire works, right up to the top, about 25m above the plane.
Personally, stuff like that doesn't add excitement, it /prevents/ me from getting into the film, because it doesn't seem so believable.

This convo is pretty academic reallym the old action sequences of films wil NEVER be realistic.
Infact the most realistic fight ive seen was in the lord of the rings, oi you *punch*, classic stuff.

Everyone wants sensationalism. I saw a clip of torque on tv earlier, someone on an rsv mille with a 50 foot turning circle at full lock do a complete skidding one 180 on a curved train roof, at about 90, while it is moving.

Cool yes.

Retarded.... hell yeh

You realise that all of the big fight scenes are CG?
