There really isn't room for layers or jeans ... I can just about fit a hoodie. So winter = freeze.

Today I am wearing PJ bottoms, they are perfect (not my cow print ones!), my 3/4 gym pants..... thin and fitted (ish)...

Think I need to invest in some cycling shorts for the summer.

Don't wear anything, you will get more attention and if you used tit tape you could keep your decency if you unzipped it a bit when you stop.

T-shirt, underpants, socks and some of those man-tights things which help me slide the leathers off me legs.

Morino wool base layer garments are superb.

Cool in summer, warm in winter. Soft, comfortable, hardwearing, thin. Do not stink even after a few days of constant wear.

The "icebreaker" brand stuff is excellent.

A pair of the Missus' joggers, they're medium in thickness so they're comfy, although the last aldi or lidl bike gear sale I did buy some of the fitted base layer gear and they work pretty well which suprised me because I find things being close to my skin doesn't keep me warm where as they did...

I thought leathers it was just underwear underneath and layers on the outside to keep warm?

Not at all sexy, but definitely very warm, especially if I wear two pairs - cotton long johns (men's ones, cos women ones aren't made for long legs). Yes I can wear two pairs under my leathers!

My textile jacket is also man's kit, and HUGE on me, so I can easily wear about 9 layers underneath...which is pretty much what I do at every rally I go to. Thumbs Up

A combination of being skinny, having low blood pressure, a duff liver and poor circulation dictates I have to wrap up to keep warm. Laughing

Tit tape, it basically tapes your tits to the clothing covering them... meaning you could unzip your leathers without your breasts totally on show.

Unless I have totally mis-understood the use for tit tape Laughing

That's strange as women tend to have longer legs in proportion to their body than men.

I've used men's long john's under my jumpsuit (skydive), but for them to be long enough in the leg meant they were about twice too big around the waist.

Guess it depends where you buy them from...mine are Peter Storm ones, they have waist and leg measurements, so I got the smallest waist size (I think 28/30") and then 34" leg (my inside leg is 35"). But what I do when I wash them, is hold onto the ankles and stand on the crotch bit and give them a good stretch. This then ensures they stay long.

I do this with pretty much all my washing (long sleeve tees, I stand on the underarm bit). Standing on these bits stops the stitching tearing whilst being stetched. Thumbs Up

Full leathers (ie. the one peice with my name on) I will wear boxers and a thin tshirt. Only on track though.

Two peice, a nice tshirt/top and sometimes long johns under the bottoms - usually only for road riding.

Road riding in the south of france? No leathers - just a tshirt, jeans and boots Laughing

When I have my leathers on I just have some boxers on and a tshirt. I don't really feel the need to smother myself in clothes due to the fact that my leathers are warm as hell anyway.

Love, it's absolutely stifling down there mid-june.

I was riding on the autoroutes down into Grenoble, jacket hanging off one arm, my bike temperature was 102 degrees centigrade (fan kicks in at 105) - at 95mph. It was fucking insane.

I actually sunbathed whilst riding through south france/italy. Was brilliant.

And I would much rather be a little less hot and have my wits about me to avoid a crash, than just be prepared for one that could happen because I was too hot. Thumbs Up

I got some of that technical clothing and it feels weird until i put on my leathers/kevlar jeans. Works tho. As its really thin yet keeps the chills away. They also keep you cool in summer.
They wash well and dry quick.
Got mine from Aldi. 4yrs and still going. Thumbs Up

Johnson's Baby Talc/Givenchy Gentleman. Embarassed

Technical Base Layers are the only real thing to wear under leathers.
Silks etc. Or under textiles too.

Merino Wool is great but a bit more expensive than the Man made fabrics/microfibres.

Cotton doesn't wick moisture and sticks to your skin so is not as cumfy.
For a quick/short blast anything is generally OK but on longer trips use proper stuff.
The Bergaus and other stuff works well.
Some of those cheap sports shops sell base layers for under £10 a piece. Just as good.

Leathers
underwear, t-shirt (normally long armed), socks.

Textiles.
as above, but sometimes with jeans, and i've worn PJ bottoms too to stop my legs sticking to the lining without being as thick/warm as jeans
