Told myself I wouldn't spend any money on this but I'm sure everyone knows how that goes Rolling Eyes I feel that the stock bars are too narrow anyway... Can anyone recommend some nice new ones? Things to consider are will the original wind guards still fit? Was thinking about fat bars too, but don't you need to get an adapter or something to make them fit? Cheers Thumbs Up

Renthal 'Enduro High', nice n wide, almost indestructable. Will fit straight on, don't know about your hand guards though, depends how they are bolted on.

I've got them on my DR350 as well.

I'll only run fat bars on my off road bikes.

The XR had Tag T2's.. very nice bars.. you can get an adaptor kit for about £30 from most places, think mine came from ebay or racespec.co.uk

The WR has WRP bars I think, best bars I've had so far. Like the Tag T2's bit a bit narrower, really nice.

Bear in mind you'll need new hand guards as normal guards won't fit fat bars unless they are a newish common make and you can just change the fitting kit (i.e like the acerbis ones or EGO barkbusters..)

Doubt you'd regret it though, fat bars FTW!

? - I haven't noticed a massive difference between my newer bikes with fat bars and older ones with normal bars.
(Though the stock ones that come on KTMs etc do seem to be pretty strong - just ground the end down a bit crashing on the road rather than bending as others do - but it's not always a bad thing to have cheap and easy to replace bits that bend Smile ).

I always run Renthal Fat Bars, just feel comfortable to me - although i bet iv'e bent a pair better than anyone on here! pic!

Well, those actually came with the bike, i though after about '05 they started to put Fat bars on all DRZ SM's could be '07 actually - one of the two Very Happy

after i bent those, i bought a second hand pair off ebay for about £30 which where red, i think they where KX High. New they cost about £60

you'll need adapter though aswell
