Restriction????

If you restrict a bike say something that does 80bph to 33bph how will that initially affect the machine? Will it affect its top speed, its acceleration?
Anyone who has a restricted machine, does it still run well?
Just curious is all.

My hornets restricted. Runs well enough. I rode to Valencia on it last year. No problems.

Hi

It will affect both acceleration and top speed. Although in low gears you might not notice the acceleration difference that much as you probably don't use that much throttle in first anyway.

i have a kawasaki er6-f restricted to 33bhp (from 72) it runs perfectly fine, but god i can't wait till those two LONG years are up

waiting to get something that goes faster than 30 is a long enough wait, and i can see waiting for that restriction to disappear is gonna be an even longer wait.

Lets see umm... 158 days left till i'm 17 and add about 4 to 7 days extra till i can ride my next motorcycle and then add another two years until i can ride anything. Ughh i have a long wait.

Heh, not as long as the 670 days i have to wait you'll enjoy the 125 a LOT more though, make sure you do your test as soon as you're 17, you won't regret it

I have an er-6f that was restricted for 2 years and that ended about 2 months ago and the only real difference is how fast it accelerates as the throttle can be opened a lot more ( I had a throttle restrictor) and the top speed is not much more unrestricted than it is restricted by my experience. Untill you get somewhere you get the chance to really open the trottle you wont really notice much difference I recon...well I dont anyway.

Not really if you think about it, I have to wait over 800 days. Yeah thats what i am doing. ASAP!
