I salute you!
My riding has taken a new direction today after i sold my gixer and bought this instead...
https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g82/darthpalmer/IMG_0551.jpg
Best part of 3 hours on dual carriageway to get it home. I can see that i am going to need to grow much stronger neck muscles! Was mostly cruising at 80ish buti might have gotten it up into treble figures briefly - felt like i was hanging on for my life!!
I also feel much more manly on this than the gixer ____________________ Harold_Shand wrote: I suppose it's like anything, you get your fingers burned when you start out, you learn from it and eventually become a complete arsehole about the whole thing. |

Looks a good honest engine in frame with handlebars and wheels.
What more do you need.
Well maybe a flyscreen..just a small one..and maybe rear hugger and bellypan. Fender extender?
Ignore me, its a good looking bike.
[edit] scrap the sticker tho

What the man above said That's a proper bike. Only communists, homosexuals and girls need a fairing ____________________ The RXS100: vehicle of choice for Chuck Norris |

Yes, that would be frowned upon in Cows World. However it would be acceptable to buy a crashed sports bike and turn it into a plastic-free street fighter, so long as you'd never actually ridden it when it was plastic, otherwise you'd be a big bender and probably think Dave Cameron was a decent chap ____________________ The RXS100: vehicle of choice for Chuck Norris |

I don't really notice the difference, I think I started out without them and then occasionally I end up with a bike that has one, I prolly don't do enough motorway time to notice the difference.
I used to have a sticker on the back of my 125 that said "Only poofters have fairings" or some such. I think I got it off some Aussie website. I took the bike to the Bulldog and parked it up in the non-pleb section, and at some point over the weekend, some clever dick wrote on the bottom of the sticker "Only poofters have 125s"
Bothered/face/face/bothered.
Although I have to admit that in my staunch refusal to wear one of those awful safety vests, having a luminescent green screen (it came with the bike!) makes me just that bit more noticeable. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Was you there?
I am disappointed not to have seen you, if you were!
Of course I didn't wear a lid.
Anita was like "Mum, you can't NOT wear a lid, there's policemen EVERYWHERE", so I pointed to the entirety of "London" and said "Are they wearing lids, are their pillions wearing lids? I don't think so"
We got as far as Brixton before she decided to take hers off ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Puig tinted screen fitted - does make a remarkable difference for a little bit of plastic! Still know you are on a naked bike but definately takes the worst of the wind away from the head and gives you something to tuck in behind on the dual carriageway bits
Have also removed ohlins stickers, replaced bit of broken hugger with a shiny original alloy chain guard and as mentioned before, new set of Pirelli Angels scrubbed in.
Still not total sure i like it, think it definately needs some work in the handling department or maybe i am just expecting it to handle like the gixer which it is just never going to do
Hope to get out for a good long run tomorrow to see if we can bond a bit more! ____________________ Harold_Shand wrote: I suppose it's like anything, you get your fingers burned when you start out, you learn from it and eventually become a complete arsehole about the whole thing. |
