Got my tractor test in a couple of hours and I can't find my plastic photocard license.

I have the paper counterpart but no card. What can I do?

I called the DSA but they seemed vague and unhelpful. Will the examiner let me do it with passport or something as ID?

I'd imagine not, you need both parts of the licence to sit any vehicle test

Keep looking. Check down the back of the sofa and in your other trousers.

I have spent the past 4 hours looking everywhere imaginable. I have been using it as ID recently but it ain't in my wallet which is confuisng me. I have checked all clothing, my entire room, the shed, everywhere.

I was certain it was on my desk but it is just not here.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

What am I gonna do! I must have lost it, I have searched everywhere more than twice now.

Surely the photocard is just a photo ID which is the same as passport as the counterpart shows you have a license.

Afraid not - I believe the license is the whole of both parts and is not complete without both.

usual things; think where you last used it - id, in the under seat storage on the bike, etc?

Got the examiners number and gave him a ring and he told me there was no way he could do it without seeing the photocard.

Fail thing is now I need a new license and get the test done by the 28th June which is so unlikely I doubt it will happen which means my plans for work this summer are completely fucked.

My life is now fucked just because I can't find my dam card. Unless I find it in the next 2 minutes.

I have checked everywhere possible btw. The entire house has been checked, I have checked everywhere in the shed, in all my clothes, work clothes, bike and everywhere else. I had it 3 days ago on my desk and now I don't.

So pissed of, I am going for a ride to the cat and fiddle now because I have never been there and need to get a picture and I am really pissed off.

It is easy to replace a lost licence, it cost me £19 and it arrived within a week last time I did it.

You can do it online too,

https://motoring.direct.gov.uk/service/DvoConsumer.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=DUP&_nfls=false

Or by phone, they are open till 20:30pm

0300 790 6801

As long as you can get a tractor test by the 28th you should have your licence.

Where did you last have it?

You know what's really weird, it's always in the last place you look.

Was that helpful?

Well I am going to order one online tonight and hope it gets here soon and the examiner was very helpful, he called up the people who organise the bookings so he is trying to get me one before the 28th.

Such a PITA but my ride was good. Got lost and had to resort to sat nav but all in all a good ride.
Also, not one person didn't nod me today which is nice.

If anyone was out and about, I was the n00b in blue jacket with shorts on a dirty black 125.

I have searched literally everywhere. Everywhere that has been mentioned has been searched. Under everything. It is definitely not in my room because I have had it to pieces.

Have you looked inside every newspaper, every magazine, every bank statement, every takeaway menu - every single papery thing in your home?
