If your trying to get a decent finish on a full fairing out of cans, hard, and time consuming.

TO THE MAXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!! Laughing

If your going to paint it yourself using cans, prep work is the most important thing. nice surface to paint on. then when painting use lots of very thin layers of paint and let them dry before putting the next on or you'll very easily end up with runs.

If the scuffs are deep you may need to fill them with some filler.

The whole surface really needs a light sanding to give a key for the paint to stick too. It doesn't want to be that smooth but at the same time doesn't want to be that ruff.

Go have a look in halfrauds for a bit of body filler. You'll want the smoothest stuff they have since it should only be light scratches and not big holes.

I would suggest using an undercoat as well.
