Both are shite.

I have a Hyosung GT650R, and the engine is fucked after only 7000 miles !

Has been serviced more than what the books advise, has had £1000s spend on it for problems which keep occuring time and time again.

And at the moment the bike is now in transit on its way back home from the Czech Republic.

I will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy such shite again, especially something with spare parts as rare as hen's teeth.

My bike will be home in 3 weeks time, so if anyone wants a spares and repairs project for not a lot of money, then give me a shout, either that or someone little thief will come and steal the bike in the next few weeks and set it on fire

So pissed off with Hyosung! I am a member on korider.net and I frequently read the horror stories on there of engines being replaced under warrany and having a life expectancy of 2 years at the very most, but I was nieve and thought it was due to the owners neglecting their bikes.

So to recap; if anyone is thinking about buying a Hyosung - THEN DON'T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Tons of genuine Yamaha parts I've ordered for the YBR are made in China... It's the quality control that matters rather than tarring all the factories in one country with the same brush.

The 650 is based on the SV. The guy who designed the SV engine was offered the job to build the whole package.

As to parts, Try Startrights, they stock plenty of Hens teeth

Perhaps your problem is you have been servicing it too much.
A modern bike engine should require very little work at that sort of milage.
Even oil changes are now creaping up.

Mine is 7k miles.

Or you simply got a lemon Happens to even the best manufactures.

That's funny... the 250R in the garage is completely fine. Done 9k miles, I put 1k of those on it (my friends bike.... who hasn't got a licence so hasn't ridden it)
