Can anybody suggest where I might be able to pick up a two way radio that could be used for bike-to-bike chat? VERY cheaply. I don't care if it has shit range or is deathly bad quality, I just want the utmost cheapest deal thats available. Anything's better than shouting at junctions and I'm on a very tight budget.

I considered using these as intercom for riding. Pretty bulky but tough as (and about as good as) shit...

Range easily enough for road riding.

My only hang-up is that using military frequencies probs wasn't gonna go down too well with the old chaps at Blandford, on the off chance it got picked up by someone.

Gogle search Thumbs Up Will bring up the likes of ebay, maplin. I believe even Lidl.Aldi did some.
Found some from £16 Rolling Eyes

Just remember that you will need to add a mike and ear piece set for bile riding

Its the accessories that will push the price up. You really need a push button to operate, as the engine noise will open coms on many voice activated ones.

I brought some in the sale at Maplin. No problem with VOX around town but did cut in at mortorway speeds.

you can get graded stuff like this with basic handsfree for £20.
