Iphone 4 no sound speaker

Missus just got an iphone 4 (jealous)
But it seems to have no sound, all works through headphones but not through the speaker?

Had this problem i think with my 3gs before so fairly sure its software but for the life of me cant remember the solution?

What about ringing it? If there is no sound at all then I would take steps in order to reset software, rebooting the phone, restoring the phone. Tbh I don't have any actual knowledge here, that's what I'd try though.

I think that if it's software then somewhere on the Internet it has been dealt with, maybe you can find some guidance there!

I left it playing music with no sound and it suddenly started kicking out of the speaker this morning

One of the lass's who works for me got one and one of the speakers on hers wasnt working out the box.

Seems these things have a few issues, bad batch?

All speakers need a bit of bed in time to produce the full sound they can, obviously yours was sleeping

And yep, iPhone's have only one speaker at the bottom, and its swapped sides for the 4th generation, which is really annoying, i'd just learnt to hold the phone without covering the damn thing!

Ah sheet, its gone again - tried everything just completely looses sound out of the speaker.
