Thats not the parts for 1, thats some of the upgrade bits for the built V8. The engine itself is awesome though. For many years i've wondered why some manufacturers, hell why not suzuki? hasn't made a bottom end for 2 busa engines to make a V8. As engines go it will be light weight and very powerful for it's size. I can imagine the clutch being beefed up and a twat to use. Gearing would have to be very short to reduce stress at low speed, but in basic form it could be very reliable.
I suspect that 1000bhp one will last less time than a 500bhp busa engine due to more moving parts. Maybe a few days? |

88kg?
A standard 'busa engine is 77kg according to my bathroom scales. Perhaps I'm not just 14 stone after all ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

I heard radical wanted to build a busa V8 to 'Give something back to the busa that has given rise to so much of radicals success' But last i heard they had given up.
If i had the cash i'd build something similar out of 2 CBR250 engines and make a 500cc V8
Never gonna fucking happen though |

I expect the chevy lump would be more substantial all around. Time will tell on how the cases hold up for that V-8 'busa engine. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

One of the banks of cylinders has the camshafts running in reverse. Looks like they have used a normal aftermarket manual tensioner to tension the reverse-running side so the load which is normally pulled almost dead straight between the crank and cam is now running an arced path on what is usually the 'loose' side tensioner blade. That should make timing the cams interesting as changing the blade tension will potentially affect cam timing. Also puts extra load on the tensioner blade itself. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
