Early this morning, I was having a nightmare, I was on my bike but I'd forgotten how to ride it, kept swerving everywhere and wasn't able to get the hang of the gears.

I woke up suddenly and was genuinely gutted that I'd forgotten how to ride my bike before realising it was a dream/nightmare.

Thinking back to all my other dreams including my bike, they've centered around it being stolen and a few times having no wheels.

Have any of you lot had dreams about your bikes? What happened?

Only dreams about bikes I've had is were I am riding a thousand flat out in a straight line and a bend comes up and I keep going straight...

I always wake up at that point. Scares me for like a second after I wake up Embarassed .

With me for some reason it's always about returning to where I think I parked the bike (usually it's night and a dodgy area in town).

The bike is not there, and I don't know if I parked it there and it got stolen, or I parked it somewhere else but can't find a similar street.
I never actually did this in real life.

As above it can be very 'realistic' to the extent I will wake up and feel very relieved it was a dream not real...

I dont often remember my dreams, but two spring to mind.

The first a particularly post apopolyptic nightmare, I found myself back at my mothers 'old' house, needing to get some-where, but my car wasn't outside, and when I looked out, my mother said 'you came up on the bike, its out the back'....

So I went out the back, and where the CB750 WASN'T was my old AR125, that was nicked in 1992.... curiousely in sort of one piece. Last time I saw it for real, the front end was all mashed in and the front wheel in two pieces. But this is a dream, right!

Anyway, I STILL had to get some-where, so set about trying to get this old bike fixed up, and sorted out to get me there.... then came the 'journey' where I was contantly being herangued whenever I stopped at traffic lights or anything, by pedestrians that kept tapping me on the shoulder and saying things like 'You know you haven't got a number-plate, sonny'.

Then being stopped by the police, and the 'is this YOUR bike' routine, and not really knowing what to say... I mean you KNOW ehen you are SORT of conciouse that this is a dream, and your thinking, 'I KNOW this is a dream, and this WAS my bike twenty years ago, but does HE!?!'

Dont think I ever made it to wherever it was I was needing to go to though!

Funniest one I ever had though; I dreamed I was back at my childhood home, and woken up, in my bedroom by some-one nicking my bike...... so (in dream) I jumped out of bed, and lept out the window onto the roof of the bay-window beneath; realised I was stark bollock naked, so reached back into the bed-room and grabbed my sleeping bag.....

Twocker is still pushing my bike up the road, but I'm giving chase, doing the 'sack-race' in a blue nylon sleeping bag!

SOMEHOW though I managed to keep up, and chased them all round town, but in Ely Street, just by the counil car-park entrance, they dissapeared round the corner of the street, as two coppers came out of the car-park....

"Excuse me,. sir, but is there a problem here?" The first, portly plod asked....

"YES! Oh thank god, my bikes been nicked, I was chasing them, they just went round the corner!" Waving frantically in the direction my tail-light had dissapeared.

"Stolen Motorcyle, you say?" asks the copper...

"Yes, round the corner!"

"Ah! I SEE!" says the copper. "So, this thing have an MOT?!" He asks.

"An MOT? What?!? Does What have an MOT?" I look round frantically, wondering what the fuck the coppers on about, and realise he's pointing at....... the sleeping bag!

"Err.... no, officer...." I reply, patiently..... "Its a Sleeping bag!"

"Yes, I can SEE that.." Says the copper...... "So, you admit it doesn't have an MOT then?"

"Err.... no..... its a SL-ee-p-ing bag!"

"So, is it taxed?"

"WHAT?!?!" I scream, almost loosing my grip on the said bedding! "No, its not taxed..... ITS A SLEEPING BAG!"

"Right!" Says the copper, "So, its not taxed and its not tested, then."

"Err.... NO, officer, I think we have just established that...... its a SLEEPING BAG!"

"Ok, then. So its not taxed and its got no MOT. I take it that it is YOURS, though, sir?"

"WHAT!?! The SLEEPING BAG!?!"

"Registered in your name, then is it?!?!"

"Look, its a SLEEPING BAG, f'fucks sake. BIKE! Thief. Corner! Just gone round! Chase! Can we LEAVE the sleeping bag, bit out, please!"

"Now, Now sir, just doing our job, no need to get het up about it. So I take it its not YOURS then. May I ask if you have insurance?"

"What For! Its a FUCKING SLEEPING BAG!"

"Is it now, is it REALLY, sir..." Says the plod.

At which point, he reaches INSIDE the sleeping bag... and pulls out a 1923 Douglas, like a magician from a hat!

"Your, is it sir?!"

The dream tailed off, with me left at the side of the road, charged with the theft of an antique motorcycle, and riding it without tax, insurance or MOT, while they went off to sort the 'paper-work'....

Notice the reccuring theme, bizarre arguments with authority figures, frustrating my attempts to do something more important, while I am the only person that has a grip on reality..... shrink says it sums me up perfectly!

I've had similar 'nighmares' but with cars.
Its happened a few times since i was about 15, where for some reason i would be driving my mums car and then realise i cant drive by which point i get stopped by the police and get "sent down" for driving without a licence Shocked

But bike related i've had them where the bike wont start or will cut out in reasonably dangerous places (ie. motorways etc)

One of the worse ones i've had a few times is where i've caused a Bike/bike accident! I think the last one i pulled out in front of this bike that was speeding, it was on a road i go down regularly too. i see the guy go flying then i wake up.
Needless to say, i tend to keep a keen eye out on that road now Laughing

I've had quite a few car related ones too, I don't have a car license but I can drive. They always seem to center around me driving, then I black out and crash and wake up.

The bike stealing ones always revolve around where I used to live for several years in Skem, which is a twokers dream, they steal anything with two wheels that you leave for 3 seconds and it's gone.

Probably why I always have them here because I had my scooter stolen for real by some little scrotes once and caught them in a field with it upside down trying to light the petrol because they couldn't start it.

Had a dream the other day I was on my bike doing a good 130 down a straight and a lorry pulls out, sees me, stops but is already over the road blocking everything, I drop it, the bike slides under between the wheels while my head his directly into the wheel.

Apon I wake up, thinking, "Oh sh... Ah wait. Win."

I had a dream just before the night of my second test that I crashed the cg I would be taking the test on.

I crashed on the way because the front tyre blew out. I have not been able to enjoy a motorcycle dream without waking up in a cold sweat and dreading getting on bike next day.

I always dream about the car/bike not being there when I go to it. For some strange reason in these dreams I am always at my grandmothers house rather than my own. And also, I always seem to suspect that I might be dreaming and start pleading for it to actually be a dream and to wake up.

Only dream about bikes I can remember is about my old DTR... in the dream I had left it in my street and went in the house for a few minutes. By the time I had come back out some one had stolen the engine, then I was distraught and ran back in the call the police, then when I came out again all the plastics had been stolen while I was gone Laughing

I once had a dream i was on a superbike but the throttle was jammed open. I was picking up speed all the time, and my sleeping mind hadn't thought up a clutch or brakes or anything. To be honest it was just bike shaped rather than a bike. Anyway i was having to dodge things faster and faster tensing up the whole time until i woke up, then went straight back to sleep.

Not epicly interesting or fun, possibly a sign that there were things i was struggling to deal with or something.

I have nightmares a lot since my crash.

My Psychologist said it was all down to bottling things about the crash in, and not talking about it...

Been raped by a bike or something recently?
