Hi all Smile

I've been riding a 1998 Yamaha SR125 for the past year. (I'm 18 and riding this on a CBT license)

I'm going to be looking to get a bigger bike at some point when i'm old enough.

But, i'm confused on what options i've got now. Can i take a full test now, which is restricted at 125cc, or some certain bhp of some sort? or would i have to wait till im older again?

Any help appreciated,

Jake Smile

if you do you full test now you will be restricted for 2 years to any bike as long as the power output is 33bhp or under (restrited), but at 21 you can do a DAS which allows you to ride any bike with any bhp straight away

do you test, but its up to you if you want to restricted it, there is very little chance of getting caught (serious crash etc) l,m 17 and riding a VFR400 (60bhp) which is not restrited, but it up too you

A restriction kits cost £150-£200 and that does,nt include the fitting which has to be done by a approved fitter as most requirements of the kit. and is washers that restrict the flow of fuel/air from the carbs to the cyclender reducding the power and speed

don,t restrict it you will regret it, loads of people have ridden full power bikes and have never had any trouble, just get a nice 400 plenty of power and will have cheaper insurance than a 600+
