The ktm's and kx's are very unreliable as they are highly tuned for what they are and will require regular rebuilds, DT's and KMX's are much more reliable so will be better for the road. ____________________

One of my bikes up until about 2 months ago was a Kawasaki KMX 125 (in green of course). However, it got stolen from my garden (even though it had a chain/padlock on the front wheel and a disc lock on the back - you can only do so much ). I had de-restricted it so that it became a 24 BHP beast (because it was a 2-stroke it was very, very nippy) making 85MPH+ and therefore excellent for commuting and keeping up on the motorway, whilst still being one of the best trail bikes for green- laning and light off road use around. Kawasaki stopped making them last year , but you can still get nice examples at dealers and privately (just avoid the stolen ones, as it was once one of the most stolen bikes in the UK due to it's huge popularity). There are a still lot of nicked ones about including mine I'm sure |

If your planning on using a kx / ktm on the road, don't.
I only had my kx125 for a year (used off-road, only at weekends) and that cost me in excess of £400 in parts, fuel and oil. For one year!
Get something more road orientated like a kmx or dt. ____________________ ?It?s mercy, compassion, and forgiveness I lack?not rationality.? |
