Anyone heard it yet? Just acquired it, giving it a blast.

Love Slipknot, only just started getting into Stone Sour, adore Corey Taylor and all he does, so I think I'll enjoy it. It's nice to see him doing softer and more accessible music to show the world he has major talent outside making ears bleed. I don't think it would be going too far to say he is a lyrical genius, if you really read into what he is saying.

Anyway, new album, what are your thoughts?

P.S - All for constructive criticism but if you have come here to bash for no reason then kindly fuck off, you are not wanted Smile

I've been a fan of stone sour since before slipknot and I'm not sure of the new cd. I have it (special edition version) and listened to it for the first time yesterday and my first impressions are its not as good as "Come Whatever May"

Its not as heavy for a start. Nothing has the sheer power of 30 30/150 or Made of Scars. But there are some nice songs on their.

Considering i have been waiting for this cd for a good few years I'm not overly impressed but that might change after a few more listens.

Cheers for the heads up, didn't know there was a new album out. "Come whatever may" was a fantastic album, will check this out in short order.

Will chase this down tonight, I loved the first album, saw them live not long after it came out, the mosh pit to opening song 'Get Inside' attained maximum violence as the main riff kicked in... Lol I've just got goosebumps just by thinking about it.

The second album was....ok-ish, only really cared for 'Through Glass' and 'Made of scars' tbh. They are playing the NIA (10 mins walk from my house) next month along with Avenged Sevenfold and I'm debating whether to go, given that A7X latest offering 'Nightmare' was pretty shite, so hopefully stone sours album will restore the balance.

Will report back after listening.

Get the first 2 cds first. "stone sour" and "come whatever may" They are much heavier.

They are playing in Brighton and I'd go just to see SS. I like Avenged enough but I'm a bigger fan of the support group. Sadly tho with saving every penny we get in the family to get out of this shithole we are living in all concerts are on hold

I love those two songs, of the heavier ones of the album they are my two favourites. As I said, I wouldn't listen to Stone Sour for the heaviness in any case, Slipknot has that for me.

Good album so far, hopefully will find cheap tickets to see them in Leeds with Avenged, just to see Corey up close, fucking gutted I missed him at Sonisphere, my mates didn't have the skill to wake me up! Not going with those pansy bastards next year!

Seen Rammstein twice this year, and met them once, got their signatures, they are my second favourite band, I would eat a sandwich filled with their shit I love em that much. Check out 'Emigrate', Kruspe's side project if you haven't, they are decent too.

Pendulum were amazing too, and Iron Maiden put a good show on, but seeing them I felt no emotion, reinforcing my love for R+ and Pendulum. Very particular about my music, much to people around me's disdain.

Sonisphere was amazing, shat on Creamfields, bar missing Corey, GUTTED. I've loved that guy since I was 10 years old (over 10 years now) and taken so much shit for liking Slipknot, would have been amazing to see him! Sad

The worst one yet. Got it a day or two ago, I'm so disappointed in it I haven't given it a 'proper' listen yet. It just strikes me as weak. Sad
