You see that copper give that dude on the bike a section 5 + £80 fine for doing a Middle Finger to a car driver who called the biker a fukin wanka cos he was filtering?

WTF is that all about. Is there anything we can still do in this country that wont get us fined or arrested?

In all fairness, i bet he would have gotten off with it if he had taken his lid of to start with, and if he never called the guy 'love'.
that seemed to piss him off big time.

It looked to me like he was gonna get off with a warning, but filtering in a busy high street is sketchy to begin with, and imagine if i child saw him give the finger Shocked

/lovethepolice.

Fucking wankers eh, lucky the dude never got a fine for the tinter visor as well! Evil or Very Mad

Seems he got singled out though, they didn't pay any attention to when he was talking about the verbal abuse he recieved from the van driver. Shouting out calling him a wanker of course isn't in the same category as giving the twat the finger...

I'm surprised at how many people get let off without any charges, no wonders there's so much crime, you can probably get away with a lot of it.

The above was after a watched an earlier ep of Police Interceptors. A guy gets caught in a nicked BMW, leads Police on a small chase, "nearly runs down a police officer" and he was let go as there wasn't enough evidence. Laughing

There's at least one of these on these Police programmes.

Why bother quoting what happens in a TV programme? It's not real, it is just entertainment.

'Reality TV' is the biggest contradiction in terms going.

I can't see the police giving out fake fines & points just for TV.

I spent more than 15 years working in British TV, there is nothing that would surprise me in the slightest, down to them all being actors. You cannot believe anything you see on TV.

Met them last year at Essex Police HQ.

Sitting in an EVO X with the engine running thinking how far could I get before they caught me?

Oh well that's what happens.

Bit fast for filtering
Got caught "flipping the bird"

Just unlucky he's got a funny attitude and he was followed by a TV crew looking for some good telly.

Coppers always sound like they're talking down to you with their very condescending tone of voice, which does annoy you, but if you don't want a fine and/or points then just suck it up and be on your way.

Guy's body language tells me he's a twanger anyway.. obviously knew he was in the wrong but couldn't accept it.

Can't even watch Youtube now without shitty adverts, what's that all about?

None of what he does is on video, it says that so you can only go on what the cops are accusing him of. They say his driving was dangerous and he says theirs was, the problem with most traffic police is because they've been through what is considered to be the highest training available they think they are always in the right.

I was pulled over in my Pontiac by an unmarked traffic car a while ago for having water in my rear lights (yes, wtf?), after talking to him it was quite clear he was more interested in having a nosey at the car. He did infact cut me up on the roundabout exit as it was 2 lanes feeding into one and he refused to drop back and let me merge safely, I was my car's length ahead of him and took my turn to merge, he told me I cut him up and I could see there was no way he'd accept he was in the wrong. Problem is if you argue you'll get stuffed for something, it's not a fair playing field and you're battling a bastard sized ego.

I'm not sure how it works with these TV crews filming people, I was under the impression they had to have your permission to film you and certainly to broadcast it on national TV. Maybe it's a case of letting them film and then writing to say you don't want it released but you should have the right to request they stop filming you, he clearly had his visor down because of the camera, I think the copper should've sent the camera man away but that wouldn't have made good TV so he actually provoked the situation by continuing.

So closing down a Motorway (every week) just for entertainment purposes? Or calling out an expensive chopper, or hiring a 'stuntman' to play out a dangerous car chase in a highstreet?

No doubt a shit load of TV is staged & a load of crap but i'm pretty damn sure this isn't one of them. Excluding the Narration & use of 'tense' music. Smile

Because it's a public place, they can film whatever they want.

Though if you don't give your permission to be filmed, they'll blur your face.

I've been through this with the police before telling me i can't use a helmet camera when i'm in a town centre, something to do with terrorist or something, but i said that i've watched a lot of road wars, and the amount of times they've been shouted at not to film someone...

but then they reply about it being a public place and all that shit.

Thumbs Up

there top speed is limited. whether it be due to running out of revs (down-geared for acceleration) or whether it is decided that if a chase reaches 130mph is it too dangerous to continue kind of thing.
or so i have read/heard at least[/list]
