On my current tyre's i'd say about an inch as my suspension feels knackered and haven't wanted to push it. Also no leathers is a good deterrent too.
Had none on my old set though. ____________________ 02 Firestorm. |

I have about 1cm on my back tyre on the right hand side, and no chicken strip at all on the left cos the tyre must have spun against the ground as i went over . ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

None on either side. I had a few mm on the left until the trackday at Cadwell last weekend.
Still can't get my knee down though. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

How wide's the tyre? About that much. Not for long though I had none on the right and about 3mm on the left on me last one though. ____________________ Back on a Blade. Just feels so right. |

front, about 5mm.
rear, scuffing on sidewall
BUT
A foot of multi adjustable WP and marazuchi(sp?) suspension on either end and 36" renthall desert bars. Don't try this on a moped folks! ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Nothing on both sides, it's well easy on my bike.
But it makes me happy.

I've had four trackdays out of my tyres. The chicken strips went last year, grew back again over the winter, and have gone again.
Good value for money these 010s. |

Front tyre......No chicken strips
Back tyre.......No fuckin' chance of any strips at all.
Shade you just need to get some miles under ya buoy Once you've done that then come & tell me that fast tight corners ain't fun. By fun I mean spinning up the rear whilst sliding the front too. Don't believe me, come & play with me in Basingsmoke. ____________________ Karma!! Fuck Karma, I am Satan's little helper.

Superabusa - I think Shade does actually have plenty of miles under his tyres. I also agree with him, notice that most people have said their chicken strips were lessened by track days.
I'd rather not be out of control on a public road, especially if, like there was yesterday, a combine harvester coming round the corner with significantly spikey bits hanging over the white line. ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!
