Hello,

This is a mainly UK based forum so you'll not be able to get advice with much knowledge behind what the laws and situation on stuff over there is.

Something which is less powerful and easier to handle will be good for learning on. A bike with an engine size of somewhere between around 100cc to 300cc as that is enough power to be able to learn with, without it being overly powerful and hard to handle. Don't know at all what the laws as to engine sizes over there or any of the licensing laws so that could be impossible for you to do Confused .

Bikes with shinney fairing like your CBR will be more expensive to fix up as they have all the plastic fairing on them, so try and get something which doesn't have all that and it's not worth spending much money on one at all really.

Hope this is of some help, you'll be able to get more informed information if you can find a US based site.
