What next after winter

Well got my NT650V Deauville planning getting somthing else after the winter but looking now incase i get bargain.

I was wanting to go for a ST1100 originaly however thinking along the lines of a sportsa tourer now , possibly a Triumph or a Susuki any suggestions?

Got to be an sitting upright style and plenty of room for my son on the back

Yes possibly a Sprint ST

however if i see the right bike i may see if i can do a trade in for my current bike .

I like the look of the sprint however how much bike will i get for £1500 tops?

Will a ST1100 be a pile of rust or the Sprint be falling apart or can i still get a clean one for that?

A passable ST1100 might be doable for 1500 but I'd wager any Sprint ST at that sort of money will be a an utter rot box.

Considered an early-ish VFR/ZX9R/Sprint RS and a bar riser kit? ZX9s and Sprint RSes depreciated like rocks and tend to be super good value these days, an old Fireblade would be solid purchase but might be an ask given the budget.

Another option might be a big retro styled muscle bike like a ZRX1100, my mini XJR is a proper little hoot and super comfortable, I can imagine it's full fat siblings being top road bikes if you're not expecting to be able to ride it like a superbike.

*edit* More options... early Fazer 600s, faired Bandit 600s, ZR7s, and I can't believe I didn't think about it straight away. TDM850?
