A cow get it's face ripped off by a train and survives. Needless to say the video is a bit grim.

It'll have to be shot.

Amazes me how some animals can suffer an injury like that an be so apparently unphased.

I once got called out to see a horse which was missing half a front leg. Totally gone from the knee (carpal joint) down and stood in a field grazing away. Shot it straight away but we never found out who it belonged to, how it came to be there or what happened to its leg.

The horse really didn't appear to give a shit, which when you've seen the fuss some of them make if you jab them with a 'flu vaccine, is hard to believe.

That would be down to the different metabolism rate of reptiles, quite reamrkable it could still open it's jaws.
It might even have managed a final revenge on the careless.

When animals (including us) get a massive injury endorphins and adrenalin kick in like a huge dose of natural painkiller.
The effect is temporary but can help escape from predator attack for example.

There must be some on here have had big injuries?
I had my leg broke above and below the knee (in 1986) and was not initially in any pain from it - until I tried to stand up.... Pale

Not a big injury, but after my off I didn't notice the pain in my leg til I tired picking the bike up, was in agony on the way home.

How do we even know the cow is not in a load of pain anyway, doubt it could make a sound ? Oh and wouldn't it suffocate because of all the loose tissue like, clogging up the airway?
