Just got some Marks and Spencer extra warm lambs wool thermals. £36. Chuffed with them! Better by far than any of the £10 cheap sets I have had in the past.

depends where you live. I wore a jumper and thin gloves under my summer gear with no real issues commuting 20 miles each way.
But tbh the winter in the south isnt exactly bad

I brought the technical base layer stuff that was sold by Aldi. Roughly £16 in total and it worked very well in the cold.

+1 Thumbs Up

In the Ye olde times we used to wear tights under our gear, a couple of extra T-shirts. , News paper down the front of your jacket to stop the wind getting through.
if you were in the money you wore waxed jackets and trousers, but stank all the time and it rubbed off on things.

I used to stop halfway home and get cod and chips from the chippy and stick it down my jacket. Lovely and warm for the rest of the journey and something to eat afterwards.

I told some youth the other day I wore tights to work cause it was cold the other day. He looked at me funny. Youth of today just don't get how it was in the old days. When things were different.

Mind you... Perhaps I shouldn't have told him I wore a skirt too....
