So now its getting a bit colder who wears what thermals? I've got some cold killers which keep the cold out but the zip front sometimes iritates.

Just got some Marks and Spencer extra warm lambs wool thermals. £36. Chuffed with them! Better by far than any of the £10 cheap sets I have had in the past.

depends where you live. I wore a jumper and thin gloves under my summer gear with no real issues commuting 20 miles each way.
But tbh the winter in the south isnt exactly bad

I brought the technical base layer stuff that was sold by Aldi. Roughly £16 in total and it worked very well in the cold.

I used to stop halfway home and get cod and chips from the chippy and stick it down my jacket. Lovely and warm for the rest of the journey and something to eat afterwards.

I told some youth the other day I wore tights to work cause it was cold the other day. He looked at me funny. Youth of today just don't get how it was in the old days. When things were different.

Yup, I used to get home from work and, before anything else, would rip the missuses tights off - they were killing me! Before there was much affordable bike gear around, I would stick a dustbin liner under my leather for a bit more windproofing - it's the chill factor that gets you.

Just got the union suit out of the bottom drawer, won't come off till about April now. I've also treated myself to a pair of these and they're excellent:-
