Seems to be a lack of reviews and general 'stuff' online about Derbi's.

This Senda 125 is the one that caught my eye,

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180581049410&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I just have't really heard much about them before so am interested in build quality, parts etc etc... Any info appreciated Razz

Cheers!

Derbi is a well recognised name I would say. They race in moto gp and are partly like aprilia. Not sure if they use the same engines.

I assume from stories I have heard (yet to find out if mine is like it) that they are the typical italian bike. Lovely when going but often in the garage.

You do, however, also hear very good stories so dont let me put you off. The 125 Baja obviously isnt going to be the fastest but then again it is a four stroke 125. Look on youtube at a guy called Moskus93 I think it is. He has this bike and he does HD videos. Ask him some questions, he is really helpful. Bear in mind though that he is Norweigan or something. He does speak good english but dont go too complex Laughing

Anyway, let us know how you get on Very Happy

Is that the typical Italian bike that is built in Spain Laughing
Derbi are Spanish founded but I think they are party owned by Piaggio etc so suppose some Italian connection!

Very similar to Aprilia now. Some of their smaller bikes share parts. Derbi is almost exclusively small bikes however, whereas Aprilia does bigger bikes too.

Thumbs up from me. Ive had my Derbi senda for nearly two years (10,000ish miles) and it's been spot on.

Whoreage
https://i979.photobucket.com/albums/ae271/RxsOllie/Derbisenda.jpg

It's been used in all weathers and still looks pretty much as good as it did when I bought it, it hasn't suffered with corrosion or anything, they're pretty well put together bikes.

If I were you I would get one with the newer twin cam motor rather than the old air cooled one as in that ebay ad.

Also lol at the chain on that senda

Absolutely nothing, but the new twin cam motors are far superior (speed wise etc). Also they're 6 speed whereas the air cooled ones are 5 speed.

I had a go on a standard Derbi Terra today, it was brilliant Thumbs Up

Oh right, good good!
I'd probably just get whatever came up first and looked to be the better bike. They seem to be very rare Thumbs Up
