Mito is older one, Mito Evo is the newer version.. no idea on years or anything or even if this is true, but I think that's right anyway

The older one had 7 gears, the newer evo one has 6.
They both put out the same power, maybe a tiny slight difference but not noticeable.

And It puts out about 28bhp at the rear wheel and around 32 at the crank. Who told you 35? That would put a lot of young people off buying it as it would put it outside the power bracket of the restricted license.

Hi

Yours is Mito Evo. The earlier Mito and and early Mito Evo had 7 speed gearboxes, but the late Mito Evo has a 6 speed gearbox.

Claimed power figures are largely meaningless, as they used to be pretty much made up by the marketing departments (eg, Aprilia Sintesi had 33hp claimed, but produced about 23hp at the rear wheel). Also the Italian factories pretty much gave up claiming power figures for 125 in the early 1990s.

All the best

Keith

A friend spent a lot (A LOT - as in More than a ducati costs to buy new) of money on a Mito and has it up to a claimed 138mph.

For a stock bike, I wouldn't know offhand.

Do the same as my mate - New engine, new clutch, new gearbox, full race system etc etc. Laughing .

You could try fitting an aftermarket can, or full system, but I think you should actually ride it before you decide it's not fast enough for you.

Yup, and the important word in that sentence is "claimed", as that's all it is, doubt he's had more than about 100mph true speed out of it, unless he's joined a sky diving club and has had it fitted with a parachute. Twisted Evil

Full power at the rear wheel will be roughly 28bhp. Top speed would be around 100mph. Your speedo lies, don't trust it.

The arrow pipe will make this much difference |_____|
It's a waste of money, don't go for it. Spend a lot of money and you could squeeze about an extra 10mph out of it....... It's so not worth it mate that it's not funny.

It's not possible to get just a can for a Mito, or any of the small 125 bikes, so it is a full system.

Full power I would be tempted to say will not be as high as 28bhp. Danny had his NSR125 run on a dyno, and that came out saying 23.4 so the Mito will be in ther region of 25bhp I would expect.

I reckon the Mito Evoluzione would make a good bike for club 125 racing - it's fast, it's versatile, you can gut it like a fish and put it back together with completely aftermarket parts, and beat up ones are cheap as chips Very Happy .

Watch this space Cool .
