Few quick questions:

What are they like? any good?
How much would you pay for one with 22,000 miles and small scuffs on one side, tail and front? By small I mean they are visible if you look closely.

Any general info on the bike is appreciated Thumbs Up

The same bike is the only one on gixerjunkies, if you want it and no one has bid on it, email the seller after the bid ends and offer him 2300 he might be desperate lol.

No idea! The ZX6 seems to be the hardest to insure, 2003 R6 is OK and the jigsaw and Daytona 600 are the cheapest. Minhdinh lives in East London I think and I'm in NW. Maybe thats the difference Laughing

Tbh save your cash as there are better examples out there for that kind of money. With that damage I would offer maybe 2.1k and spend the £400 getting the damage repaired but it certainly isn't worth the 2.5k/3k they are asking for in that condition.

kwacks are usually cheapest for me to insure, you will pay more for tax (extra 37cc) but i dont see why it would be that much more then the the jigsaw (lol) as there in the same class and insurance group, plus the kwack is generally cheaper.

id go with the ninja (based on price) like minh said, but the gixxer is probably a better "road" bike

Well the auction ended and no one bid ( Smile ) so I offered 2300 so lets see what he says. I've also sent an offer on a 03 R6 LE

I agree the 636 is the best BUT I am a slow and crap rider so for me it comes down to cost and what I like. I like the B1 but it's not the best, I prefer the C model but they are just out of budget. I can only spend about £2600 max because of the insurance

Which ends? Hendon/Golders green ends or Colindale/Hyde? When I'm in London, I'm usually around Colindale at my aunts so brent cross is only 10 mins away. Iz ur post code norf weezy? Coz dat is why i tink ur insurance is bare dear!

In terms of insurance, it's all circumstantial. I had my bike insured in Edgware this year, TPFT, 3points and a claim, 3 years NCB, parked on the drive, BUSINESS INSURANCE so I'm covered for business trips on the bike - £440 on the blade. That was with Simply - HA8 post code.

Sometimes a few hundred metres is the difference between a ridiculously expensive quote and something that's reasonable.

AFAIK Gixxers are group 14 and all other 600's in group 15.

If I were in your situation, just compromise and get any bike that becomes available within your budget. You'll come to grow on it. Whatever you do, also set aside a 300 quid kitty for tyres of your preference since it'll transform the bike.

But I think some of your quotes were absolutely silly for the 600's - like £800-1200!

Then again, how old are you? If you're under 21 then it still hurts a bit. I paid 600 on the first year of my blade because I was still 21.

But good luck with the insurance. With any of the 03-05 600's there's very little between them and every respective owner will speak good things about them.

Your insurance is more than likely to be high because you live next to St Mary's High school! Laughing Razz Thumbs Up

Seriously though, I find it a bit disgusting that your quotes have been that high! I'm looking to buy a house in Hendon/Finchley/Mill Hill area when I'm due to work back in london in a couple of years so it's interesting to see how your insurance debacle is sorted.

It's a shame there's nothing of your description on MCNninjas or Londonbikers Sad

I actually live in Golders Green across the road is where Hendon starts, It's weird because Golders Green is pretty quiet area. I'll probably end up paying the £900 if I get the 636 Sad

The guy with the jigsaw on ebay said he's in no hurry to sell and will re list next year for £2700.
