Ive been watching violent films and games all my life...and i have never considered stabing anybody Laughing

Basically this lad..killed his friend, now lets face it...in reallity he was probably a little chav dickhead who did nouthing but drink cider and hang out at alldays. (this was compounded by him turning up to court on the news wearing a baseball cap)
But to his parents he was a gentle good natured quiet inteligent "little boy" so he must have been brainwashed by something........... ahh this game on his bedroom floor will do Laughing

It was probably just the first thing to hand at the time.....

They cant face the fact the son was capable of summin like that

Well i myself am a 17 year old*and have only jus turned 17 a week ago*. And i have a very wide range of 'unsuitable' things such as games, dvds, porn films Embarassed . I have some of the worst games such as carmagedon 2, manhunt, all the grand theft auto games, as well as some of the most violent films - taxi driver, goodfellas and scareface. But i havnt been influenced to become a gangsta, kill people, or drive extremely fast while moaning people down.
As other people said, its all down to the parents! Middle Finger

I play violent video games, I have done since I was 11. I've never fantasised about killing people...

Maybe you should play more violent games Bendy. Its good for the agression! Thumbs Up

Incidentally I do practice Kung Fu, but that is for self defence, and I doubt I could irritate anyone mildly with it, let alone hurt anyone! Laughing

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Blame the fugging parents. If they can't teach their kid what's right, wrong, real or pretend then they're really the only one's to point the finger at.

Totally mad - we should have tighter restrictions.

Although I have watched 'Neighbours' on TV for a number years and quite often I feel like killing a few people .... wonder if there's a link Question

Hi

Don't think things should be banned.

They guy was a fruitcake. Sure he might not have commited murder without watching the film. He also might just have waited a bit longer and got a bit more devious before blowing up the local kindergarden.

All the best

Keith

Mmm Censorship?

I fugging hate censorship.

By all means, censor that material that really hurts the innocent. Anybody involved in child porn, snuff movies etc deserves to die in my opinion. People suffer to create these.

However, I hate it when people try to censor a cartoon. After all, that's all a video game is. My kids (age 4 & 2) love Tom & Jerry, one of the most violent cartoons ever.

Never seen either of them trying to hit each other with a frying pan yet.

Anybody remember the knee-jerk reaction after the death of Jamie Bulger? Ban the film 'Childs Play'. Did it make any difference (apart from making the film more famous than a B Movie deserved)?

Censorship is a nasty way of people telling you 'we know better, and you're not good enough to know'.

In this case, the little scrote would have done what he did with or without the game. Tom & Jerry would have been the excuse, if all else failed.

Couldn't have been a case of the kid was just a nutter, could it?

Cheers,

Byrnie.
