After the hearing, PC Richie Humphrey, road policing officer with Cleveland Police, described the men as "stupid".

He said: "On that night we could have been dealing with a double fatal with these lads and anyone else that was around."

Oh shut up, you faggot waste of space and go solve a real crime. Middle Finger

OK, dumb to post it on You Tube, but the reaction seems disproportionate to the alleged 'crime'

Could have been, but weren't. I went shopping today. I could have stolen something while doing so, does that possibility make me a criminal?

I know the bit of road, all the prossies take their car customers down there so there might've beeen carnage Very Happy

It's a dead straight stretch about a mile long, well lit and there's pavement both sides.
Field one side, sand dunes the other.

Don't think I have. Did manage 120 in a 30 though.

Yes, but only because you asked that question. You do rather too much thinking, citizen.

Probably because he didn't grass the other one up. That is in fact a crime in itself.

So that'll be the next crime, thinking, will it? There are so many things I miss about my home country, but I increasingly feel that a return would be very frustrating.

Me three, however i was on my own and wouldn't have been stupid enough to risk someone elses life by having them film me do it. I live on a 30mph road, yet i probably hear / see 10+ boy racers accelerate down it up to 70+ every day. I've been here a while now and i've yet to hear of or see an accident. A loud revving engine late at night is easy to hear and only a moron would jump out in the road in front of it.

Seriously?? So just knowing somebody has commited a crime and you haven't reported is a crime. Fuck me half of us should be sent down for life.

It's not a crime not to report a crime necessarily but to deliberately conceal or obstruct police is, aiding and abetting is a crime though and as the passenger is actively encouraging the driver so he is also responsible.

I do think the police statement that they could've been dealing with a double fatality is just their usual patronising way. They lose sight of the fact that just because you stick to an arbitrary limit or law doesn't make it safe and just because you break it, doesn't make it unsafe. They cannot be seen to have such an opinion though so you end up with the ridiculous statements like mentioned.

The pair of them deserve it though, posting the video clearly showing their location, their speed and their faces on youtube, they deserve whatever they get just for being so stupid.

llN30ll got grassed up as well didn't he?

Its pathetic the people hiding behind their keyboards to report videos, and probably even more so when these videos are in the public domain but the police won't take it any further without a member of the public reporting it.

All it is encouraging is people to stitch others up for their own satisfaction. I could have reported it if I wanted to, but what would I have got out of it?

Stupidity is its own reward. If you are determined to make yourself into a big, fat, day-glo target, don't start fucking blubbing when someone takes aim and fires.

OTOH, very nearly half (and AFAIK, the trend is one of a steadily increasing proportion) of adult pedestrians involved in fatal RTCs in the UK are affected by alcohol, rather than, perhaps, stupidity.
