So what's the snow like where you are? Out on the bike?

A light covering. Good job as it was MOT day today.
I found the low sun more an issue than the snow.

Had a foot of snow over the past 5 days (including 4 inches last night/early this morning).

Used the bike everyday except today, as the roads were really bad.

How good is the XT in the snow? Just curious as I seem to have an itch to buy one Laughing

It coped well early in the year, but it is not taxed or MOT'd yet, will be sorting it out next week.

Hooligan!

I've already declared that if the snow comes the VTR and GSXR wont move. I live on a slope and getting the 125 up the slope to the main roads was a bugger. Dont fancy the chances of doing the same with the bigger bikes

Probably had about 4 inches of snow on Friday pm, then another two inches fell overnight. A lot of it had turns to slush during the day, then re-freezes overnight... Crying or Very sad

I was out on the bike around midday on Friday getting the new tax disk ready for next month, but it looks like the bike will be staying in the garage for the next couple of days at least.
...not really too much of a problem though, cos it gives me the opportunity to give the bike a well-overdue oil and filter change without any time pressures

-3c here (sussex). Drove back from the NEC yesterday and that was interesting at times (in the car).

I took the GF to work this morning, once she was in I decided to turn the driver aids off for a laugh, I kept myself entertained by doing wheelspins without the car moving much.

Then it just kinda went sideways for no reason (no real throttle), that was fun...

I'm kinda enjoying the snow a bit, i dont think its a good idea for the bike though, I might break big fairly expensive bits off it Sad

My sister reckoned she had a good seven inches last night (?), didn't think it was safe to pursue the matter.

Saw a couple of people out in their bikes. The ones on the big bikes were taking it slow for obvious reasons.
Saw a Learner almost slide around a corner Confused

do you have mains water / drainage?

No, water is on a local network (about 6 houses) and drainage is via septic tank.

I go out in rain hail or sleet and sun but I am not going out in fooking snow.

I only managed to drop the fooker three times the last time God defrosted his freezer over South East Yorkshire.

Indicator Lens Gubbed: £30
Valve cover of engine scratched to fook: (Two Halfrauds' rattle cans) £10

It was -7C here this morning. I knew it was cold when the old RXS took half a dozen kicks to start. Unheard of Shocked Heavy snow for two hours while I was out. Course, it stopped as soon as I got back in...and then the snow melted too, to add insult to injury Laughing
