hi just sold an engine on ebay for £300 the add clearly states cash on collection but buyer didnt see this! and wants to pay by paypal he has offered to pay the fees but i cant see anywhere it says how much the fees will be can anyone help?

using your account start to send someone £300 as payment for goods, then click the option to pay the fees it will say something like

You are sending £350
Person X will receive £300

Thats just and example, just to give you the idea of what I'm trying to say

Then get the buyer to send you that amount via paypal

You need to ask yourself why he wants to pay extra fees if he's coming to collect it anyway ! Why not just take the cash with him.

well ive advertised it with a 2 week garentee and will houner it but the engine has only covered 3000miles its barely run in trumph daytona 600 engine and ive sold it about £500 cheaper than anyone eles

id say paying by paypal in this instance is a great idea personally, no knowledge of how the engine is, could be knackered, and the breaker wont tell you it runs like a bag o shite, from my experiance with breakers it would be really akward to try and prise a refund out of them as they try to blame you in some stupid way..

full recepts and invoices are always given along with the garentee he only need look at my feed back on other engines ect ive sold it has pics of the speedo with rev counter can see its running and the milage of 3000 i also have invoices old mot to back up the milage

Yep, 7 days consistently, so yesterday I transferred £150 from paypal to my bank account and it won't show up there till next Tuesday, oh but when you want to put money INTO paypal, well, rest assured there's no delay there. I summise that it's because the longer they have my money in there the more interest they can make off it, so they take their time when it comes to money out, and put their foot down when it's money in. Cunts.
