If you can get yourself to any shows you can get a decent set for less then £100.

I got this frank thomas jacket for £25-30.

FT predator

You would be better going trying some on then finding what fits. all bike sizes seem to be all over the place.

how about;

Jacket

trousers

ghostbikes.co.uk is a cheap website. Good gear too Thumbs Up

Edit: also look for Spada gear. Good, cheap and aesthetically pleasing. I Have a Spada jacket that has lasted over 5 years.

thanks Ollieholt...

I just got a lid from them and I am rally happy with that....

I like this 1 the most for the price...

https://www.ghostbikes.co.uk/products/GhostBikes.com-Brands-Buffalo/1597-buffalo-endurance-motorcycle-jacket.html

size thing is always a problem for me... .. I think that Spada gear is a little above my price range even through it is going on the credit card...
Edit Just found cheaper spada gear.. should look harder really

Be careful with spada gear, got a textile jacket about 8 months ago and all the stitching is coming undone. I did crash in it but was fine after that, and then the stitching started to come undone

Get the RST Ventilator.

I have one and I got it for Christmas and I think it is either £100 or £110 from J&S.

It has obviously your jacket with all padding in your elbows, shoulders and foam back panel. Then it has a removable waterproof liner, yes removable. That means that it the summer you have one less liner to keep you at melting temperature... And then you have your thermal liner.

Cant rate it high enough. Just in the rain make sure that you put stuff on the inside of the jacket because the outside of the jacket gets wet.

As I have said, great jacket, robust, looks great and good price. Could not ask for more out of a jacket. Hopefully I will never have to find out how well it does in a crash...

Pics for reference:

The one I have

The new one that is either out or is coming out soon according to the man in the shop

Hein Gericke are running a part exchange weekend... 26 to 30 Jan.

Quote:
We will be hosting a "Part Exchange Event" so that you can trade in your old jacket, pants, boots or gloves and get money off the replacement! It’s difficult to know what to do with old kit and often it either gets left in a wardrobe or after a lot of effort gets sold at a ridiculously low price online. So if you’re thinking about a new item of clothing, visit your local Hein Gericke store and convince us that your existing kit has only had "1 careful owner"!*

i've got one of these https://www.riderwear.net/jackets/50-http-gator460hostgatorcom-idproduct-jackethtml.html

it might be a bit warm in the summer, but it's got the elbow/shoulder/back armour (removable of course) which can be taken out, i've wondered round town with it a few times and it doesn't seem overly biker-y really. damn comfortable too, give it a week to loosen up...

when i got it it was 90 squids but they've put it up... although only 99 so not too bad! Cool

I got this in the end.. came today..

https://www.ghostbikes.co.uk/products/On-Road-Gear-Motorcycle-Jackets/1597-buffalo-endurance-motorcycle-jacket.html

I like it a lot.. warm and seems to be will made... My last 1 which was a Rev-it lasted something like 10 years.. I was in Thailand for over 7 of them so didn't use it that much..
