Following on from the tyre repair thread, I was wondering how often people get punctures.

I'm guessing the main factor is simply miles ridden, but there could be lots of other contributing things such as style of riding, bike type, tyre make and of course luck. I'm sure there's no need to tell you to feel free to comment.

I've only had once puncture in around 10 years riding, but I'm quite a low mileage rider, doing maybe around 4000 miles a year, so that's 1 in 40000 miles for me.

I've ridden 15000 miles plus a year for the last 5 years, and have had one puncture. Very Happy

Unfotunately it was on a 2 week old BT020 the week after xmas, and to make it worse it was unrepairable! Evil or Very Mad
