I know it's a long way off. But there are still a load of places available, it's £95.

There's also a second day on the 9th for anyone extra keen!

I'll be booking it in the coming weeks if anyone fancies it.

You know what Gaz? Sounds like a larf! I might book both. Bit skint right now but I might very well book it at the end of the month.

A good opportunity to bring the FZR out to play, I'm unlikely to book both, I'll probably go for the 8th over the 9th too.

Could well camp the night before, and if the craic is good, could camp the night after too.

Disposable BBQ and sausages all round!

Well, if I do attend, will hopefully have the gas and genny sorted, so it'll be five course haute cuisine for me Razz - with my four burner hob, oven, fridge and microwave.

Yes, will be.
If I turn up, I should have a 4kw genny with me; you only really need it for tyre warmers really, however.

Some years ago, Focused Events had a pretty reputation - all about the money.
They enforced long and slow (no overtaking) cool down laps, often similar with warm up laps. Most of the briefing was trying to sell you their other products. Lots of red flags for the smallest incident with no one hurt and people out of the way, etc.
While no limits tend to be the opposite of this.

Has been some years since I've been with them though, so possible they've changed.

I've done cadwell with focussed before, found them fine. I can't remember if they still do the warm up/cool down laps.

I can bring a anal penny but its only 750w, probably good enough for toast!

I don't really understand this device you're talking about, but I think I'll pass on the food, actually!

Could be tempted to book nearer the time. New car is due 1st June so could have transport if I get the new bike fixed in time.

This sounds interesting, I have a 3kw genny which is massive overkill so if I end up going and anyone else wants to share you're more than welcome to plug yourself in Thumbs Up

ROFL Laughing First time a read that Im pretty sure I read it as genny lol. If i remember correctly only need around 1.2kw per set of warmers so I dont mind chucking in some petty to borrow someone elses if they got space on there anal penny Wink

Yea I had heard something like that about focussed but like you say I think its old information just be interested to know what there like now. Like you say no limits is quite relaxed in some ways which takes the stress out of the day Smile

Focused Events are still quite mardy at times. They get the strops on when quite a few people come off in a day, and a few times I've been there where they've announced over the tannoy that "from now on, if you fall off you're going home", which was a bit shitty as it's a trackday not a Health and Safety meeting.

You get them introducing the tyre guy and photographer in the morning brief but no more than other companies.

They do have the no overtaking on the last lap rule, but I always ignore it (as do many) and have never been pulled up about it (except last year, but that was by another trackdayer who got the hump with me for doing it, so doesn't count Laughing)

I want to do a 2 dayer at cadwell to make it worth my while in fuel costs to get there.

Unfortunately I fly off on holiday on the 8th. Rolling Eyes

How hard is Cadwell then? Hard as in hardly ridden in 4 years and been nowhere near a track (Donington National) in 6 years.

I find it difficult to think of a track as 'hard' or 'easy'.

It is quite a technical track, in that you probably won't get the perfect lines or memorise every corner in a single trackday.
But in saying that there are only ~13 corners, so it's pretty easy to learn the track.

Ride at a pace you're comfortable with and you'll be just fine. I'd go for it, and I'd say it's fine for a first trackday too, as long as you appreciate your limits.

I'm booked.

Apparently it's a day with Neil Nodgson, so happy days!
And it's slightly cheaper now, so it was £89.
