Can I just ask - do these actually work and do what they say?

My gsx is in kph and it has stickers randomly stuck on at 30, 50, 60 and 70 or thereabouts.

What I don't want to happen is that I buy one and fit it and drive past a camera at what I 'think' is the right speed and end up with a bloody ticket because the converter is wrong Rolling Eyes

Found this one:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KPH-MPH-BOTTOM-CABLE-MOUNT-SPEEDO-CONVERTER-/300437598968?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item45f379f2f8

Going for the bottom mount as it's too tight behind the clock to the fairing.

yeah ive got one on my bike atm, once you fit it your dials should read in miles, i.e if it points to 30km its doing 30 miles.

only thing i would say about it is that because the KM readings are so much higher, with it reading in miles the needles only going to use a fraction of the dial up to 70. up to 30 its ridiciulously tight... and this is on a 125 which is of course gonna have a larger spread on the dial due to lower top speed.

obvs have a look at your dials to see if you could comfortably read up to 30 without having to constantly be looking at the bottom of the dial.

Thanks for that, yeah I reckon I'll only use just over half of the speedo but as long as it's in mph I'm not too worried. It must be more reliable than some random stickers stuck on by who only knows Laughing

yeah i think if your speedo is accurate now it should read accurate with the converter on. mine isnt accurate now but i cant say for sure why it is because i dont think it the needle was set accurately in the first place.

dont take my word for it though check it with a mate or a GPS before you go roaring past a speed camera

Yes they work, but i found them expensive so i just remembered the kmh speeds for each speed limit, so:
50, 65, 80, 100, 110 = 30, 40, 50, 60, 70
All of those are within the mph speed limit or close enough to get away with.
