 |
|
Hi there,
I want to change the headlight on my 95 Bandit 600. Its fitted with the standard 7" round type at the moment, and I fancy something different...
Either Square, 80's style, or the classic twin dominators, but mounted verticaly, not horizontaly.
Went to Demon Tweeks, as I saw a nice 7" square-ish light unit. Its two letterbox style lights mounted above/below one another. However, just as I was about to pay, I noticed it wasn't street legal, no sidelight. I dont fancy being pulled for a poxy headlight, so left it there.
Anyone got any input as to what works wel & looks goodl, or links to products.
I should also point out that the bike is completely standard atm, aside from straight handlebars, so the lights are going to set the path for the makeover. Starting at the front and working back...
Watch this space for posts about which tailtidy in about 3yrs...
Thanks in advance for any help

Nom! You'll be the man to ask about tail tidies & exhausts in the future months then...
Have you had any hassle from the police / MOT testers? As this is my main concern...
Was it fairly simple to connect it into the existing wires?
Cheers

Yeah dead simple. I just chopped the plug off the old headlight, and wired it onto the wires for the new head light. So I could remove it easily.
MOT was okay, but I get quite a friendly MOT.
I've got a mate who runs a similar light on his street fighter R1, and he has no problems MOTing it.
Never got issues from the old bill. I run the same light on my YZF450 now because the bandit died.
